Purity of flavours

After vinification, the Le Grand Verdus “3 couleurs” range of wines is poured into vats and regularly clarified naturally by decanting. Génération and Grande Réserve ranges are placed in casks. Whites and rosés are left to mature for 4 months while reds are left to mature for up to 18 months.

With most of our wines matured in vats, they retain their purity of flavours and freshness and still carry the taste of our terroirs.

Grande Réserve matures in casks for up to 18 months

The level of concentration and power of our  "Grande Réserve" requires  a maturation of 14 to 18 months in oak barrels (partially new).

A state-of-the-art bottling line

Preferring to maintain control of the entire winemaking process, Le Grand Verdus bottles its entire production on the estate.

Our wine is bottled on our state-of-the-art bottling line. The bottles are stored in air-conditioned units until shipping and are most often provided with customised labels.

Packaging in cardboard boxes comes next, with Grande Réserve bottles packed in wooden crates. Bag-in-box wines are also sold to wine merchant networks.

For those wishing to take a trip back in time and sample the history of the local climate, we have a large range of old vintages available in both bottles and magnums.
